Development

Travian Games is one of the leading browser game providers worldwide. This success is based on awell-structured development department and motivated external development teams. Byleveraging synergy effects and continuous knowledge transfer between the departments, TravianGames ensures that its customers enjoy the latest technical innovations, gripping gameplay, andlong-term enjoyment. Games include Flash, HTML 5, and also 3rd-Party solutions. The company’sresearch and development department experiments with new technology for tomorrow’s browsergames, ensuring that the company continues to set trends in the future.

Internally, Travian Games currently runs several production teams, working either on maintaining and improving existing brands or, of course, new developments. Internationally successful brands, such as Travian, Travians or Remanum all come from the same development group which is also planning new games in the future. The subsidiaries northworks from Hamburg, TG-Nord from Hannover and Steroid Interactive from Mainz also contribute internationally aiming products to the games portfolio.

Bright Future

In January 2012, Bright Future joined the Travian Games family to swell the ranks of the company’s external development studios. Among other things, the successful Cologne-based studio is well-known for its seine full-price EA SPORTS™ FOOTBALL MANAGER, and it has worked on the internationally successful Miramagia browser game since 2010. Bright Future GmbH was founded in Cologne at the beginning of 2006 and has been based in the city’s recent urban regeneration zone in Rheinauhafen since October 2007. The company is currently working on another browser game (to be published later in 2012) and continues to work on Miramagia, which is to be marketed internationally in different languages.

northworks

This Hamburg (Germany) based company is a pioneer among German browser game developers and is specialized in sports management products. Supported in its early days by Hamburg's government prototype support program due its excellent results, northworks has been a subsidiary of Travian Games since 2008 and is now explicitly dedicated to sports-based browser games. The award-winning titles goalunited and ballersunited were created in the company’s offices in Hamburg-Altona. The subsidiary is currently working on further international expansion of goalunited, already one of the most successful football management games. This is to be followed by a new sports game in 2012.

TG Nord

The Hannover-based development studio is 100 % dedicated to Wewaii, the immersive vacation resort management simulation. Awarded the German Computer Game Prize 2010 (Deutscher Computerspielepreis 2010) by the German government, the team is not content to sit on its laurels and is constantly working on further improving Wewaii. Work is also underway on an enhanced graphical update, which is due to come out in 2011. On a frequent base the vacation management game will be fully localized in additional languages and marketed internationally.

Steroid Interactive

In the summer of 2011 the dev team Steroid Interactive from Mainz (Germany) joined the Travian Games family. Since joining the group in July 2011, Steroid Interactive has been working on its first title for Travian Games using the latest technology and pioneering development techniques. The innovative strategy game is still in its early stages and the release date is planned for 2012, setting the kick-off point for further development work.
